Addison B. Hicks, Law Clerk

 

Addison is a full-time Law Clerk for The LaRue Firm, where he assists Mr. LaRue in representing businesses and individuals on a wide range of complex civil litigation matters. With a focus on business litigation, probate and trust litigation, real estate litigation, defamation, and appellate litigation.

With a comprehensive approach to managing client relationships and cases, Addison takes the time to understand clients’ goals and works closely with them to develop a legal strategy tailored to their unique needs. He has deep experience handling the many components of the litigation process, such as developing case strategy, authoring pleadings and motions, managing all aspects of civil discovery, and assisting the firm’s attorneys with depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.

While in law school, Addison was Vice President of Barry School of Law’s Trial Team, a Senator of the Student Bar Association, and volunteered with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. While Vice President of the Trial Team, Addison competed in the Florida Justice Association Mock Trial Competition where he received a Best Advocate Award during the preliminary rounds and defeated teams from the University of Florida and Nova University in the final rounds to win the State Championship for Barry School of Law.

Addison is active within the local community and a volunteer for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. Outside the office, Addison enjoys spending time with his wife and newborn son, exercising, and spending time outdoors, particularly at the beach or boating on the intracoastal.
